Founder and CEO - Andrew Levitt
Andrew Levitt created the idea behind HealthTalker, and is responsible for operations, and for the sales and marketing for the company. Andy spent 13 years working for large and small pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including Schering Plough, Johnson & Johnson, Praecis and Genzyme Corporation. During his tenure, he enjoyed increasing levels of sales, marketing and management responsibility. Andy was an early direct-to-consumer advertising pioneer, working on the popular allergy medication, Claritin, from 1997-1999. Since then, he has marketed several other prescription products, both to consumers and to healthcare providers. He has extensive experience using the Internet as a powerful tool to help consumers find the information they need to better understand their condition and be more informed when speaking with a healthcare professional. Andy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University in 1992, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University in 2001. He lives in Davis Square with his wife and their dog, Yawkey.
VP, Technology - Adam Kenger
Adam Kenger has steadily led all aspects of the technology behind HealthTalker since October 2007, and continues to oversee all technological directives while helping to make key operating decisions aiding in the ongoing growth of HealthTalker. Adam brings over 7 years of experience as both a web developer in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, and as a team lead for small-business technology needs with a focus in the dotcom sector. Adam majored in Computer Engineering, minored in Business, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University in 2003. He lives in Somerville, MA with his two dogs, Logan and Lara.
VP, Customer Experience - Pamela Rosenthal
Pamela comes to HealthTalker with over 15 years of marketing experience. She is passionate about online communities, social media and all things web 2.0, and has a substantial record of building private online communities for a wide range of Fortune 500 companies. During her tenure at Communispace Corporation, she helped clients like Starwood Hotels and Colgate-Palmolive obtain deep and relevant insights from their online communities and was a key contributor and thought leader to the overall business. Prior to working in online communities, Pamela managed consumer insights programs at Digitas for clients such as Delta Airlines and General Motors. She has a particular interest and expertise in new product development, marketing communications, customer satisfaction and loyalty. Pamela holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Director of Consumer Insights - Nigel Roth
Nigel brings more than 21 years of creative qualitative research and interviewing techniques to HealthTalker. Nigel has been at the forefront of word-of-mouth research since the discipline gained momentum. His pioneering work for agencies like Tremor and Edelman enabled him to develop best-in-class learning to efficiently and effectively identify word-of mouth response triggers, which form the backbone of all HealthTalker campaigns.
Before tackling word-of mouth research, Nigel was director of marketing at YMCA Europe, a member of the management team at both Synovate and NFO, a qualitative director at LP&G and KMR and managing director at crmmetrix. Nigel studied ethnography, semiotics, and archeology at UCL in the UK.
Nigel is a collector of life stories from around the globe, and now lives with his family in Snyder County, Pennsylvania – among some of the best-preserved and oldest storytelling cultures in the world.
Creative Director – Thomas Diamond
Thomas comes to HealthTalker with over a dozen years design and art direction experience with an emphasis on all-things Internet, including both B2C and B2B product and service-driven sites and, more recently, Web 2.0 social networking sites. Tom honed his knowledge of User Experience Design and Information Architecture while working with Boston-area ad agencies such as Digitas, Hill Holliday and Mullen, and as an Interactive Design Manager at Staples, Inc. Past agency client roster includes General Motors, Kraft Foods, H&R Block and TJX Companies. Tom’s experience also extends to marketing for pharmaceutical clinical trial recruitment and enrollment. He holds a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art.
