Code of Conduct
HealthTalker is committed to employing the best possible practices in the ethical conduct of word of mouth marketing. HealthTalker expects its Members to comply with the following Code of Conduct when engaging in discussions with third parties that relate to any HealthTalker Program. In addition to this Code of Conduct, HealthTalker adheres to the Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA) Ethics Code at http://www.womma.org/ethics and expects its members to comply with the WOMMA Ethics Code as well.
Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in immediate termination of a Member’s participation in the HealthTalker community as well as use of the Website and any related services.
- Always speak accurately and truthfully.
- Always disclose your relationship with HealthTalker and your participation in any HealthTalker Program.
- Never give medical advice or represent that you are giving medical advice. Make sure you communicate this to others. Inform others that you are sharing your personal opinion, thoughts, or experiences.
- Always inform others that only physicians can prescribe medications or decide if a particular treatment option is right for them.
- Always speak solely about the “On Label” prescribed use of a drug.
- Always allow others to form their own honest opinions based on information you have shared.
- Always respect the privacy of others at all times. Never disclose the personally identifiable health information or other private information of third parties on the HealthTalker Website, whether as part of a Forum, as part of a HealthTalker Report, or otherwise.
- Always provide honest and accurate information in all reports submitted by you to the HealthTalker Website, but do not violate the privacy rights of third parties in doing so.
- Never involve a child under the age of 13 in any HealthTalker Program.
