About a month ago, Facebook held its f8 developers conference and announced a few new features that we may find to be very transformative in the months to come. These features allowed users to “like” anything on the Internet and have their experiences on many popular websites such as Pandora and Yelp personalized to their social network.
Exciting stuff, but what did I do while watching the keynote speech? I went into my privacy settings and disabled every new option that they announced. Facebook has, over the past few years, helped itself to more and more of its users’ information under the guise of new features. Facebook has for a long time now, lost my trust.
With each update, their default privacy settings have become more and more lax. ...
